Strategic Day of Prayer… Saturday, 8am…This will be a day of strategic prayer. We invite you to an opportunity for prayer upon yourself, to pray for others and one another. Please contact the church office for more info.

Compassion Project Update… We are back in business and will be continuing our Compassion Project Saturday, Jan. 28! Bring hard rakes, gloves, trimmers, push mowers, etc… We will begin at 7am and should be finished around noon.

A Candlelight Christmas…Sunday, Dec. 25 at 5pm…Join us for our Christmas Service for a time of celebrating the coming of our Savior!

Carolina Bays Children’s Christmas Celebration…Sunday, Nov. 18 at 11am… Join us Sunday, Dec. 18 at 11am for our annual Children’s Christmas Celebration!
We have teamed up once again with Child Evangelism Fellowship to give a Sunday morning dedicated to sharing the story of Christmas with Children! There will be games, crafts, snacks and a great message on the meaning of Christmas designed especially for children!

Orphan Sunday…Sunday, Nov. 13…Join us on National Orphan Sunday and find out what you can do to help an orphaned child.

International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church…Sunday, Nov. 6…Join us with special guest Jay Young from Voice of the Martyrs Sunday, November 6 for the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church!

Stepping Up Men’s Group…Join the men of CBC for Stepping Up every Sunday morning at 9:15am. Books are $10. Led by Roger Miller

‘Uninvited’ Women’s Small Group…Join the women of CBC for a new 6 week study by Lisa Terkeurst. $20 provides both needed books or $10 each beginning Sunday, October 23 at 9:15am. Led by Courtney Duncan and Cassidy Robertson

The Art of Marriage…A Six week small group that can make a lasting impact in your marriage or soon to be marriage! Wednesdays at 6pm…childcare provided…Books are $10

Operation Christmas Child…Pick up a gift box this Sunday as we help Samaritan’s Purse show God’s love to children here and across the world!

Haiti Hurricane Relief…Over 1000 people have been died in Haiti as a result of Hurricane Matthew. Many more have lost their homes, livestock and work.
We are again excited to show God’s love with the people of Haiti through Project James. Those we work with are on the ground floor and have already rescued many people and are helping other orphanages and families devastated by these recent tragic events.

Beach Baptisms…We will meet at 7th Ave. N. in NMB at 6pm on Sunday, August 14 for baptisms! If you would like to be baptized, please contact the church office.

We’re turning six…Celebrate our birthday with us Sunday, August 7 during the 11am service! There will be cake and ice cream following the service!

Compassion Project…We will meet on Hwy. 90, Saturday, July 30 to demolish the Stephen’s house. Bring your gloves, hammers, etc…Please contact the church office for the address.

Church Picnic…Sunday, June 5, 12:15pm at NMB Sports Complex (Salt Marsh Shelter) Bring a dish to share and a drink. We will have hot dogs on the grill plus games and lots of fun!

Women’s Small Group…Sunday mornings at 9:15am for Bible study, prayer and friendship. They are currently studying Fervent by Pricilla Shirer.

Parenting: The Early Years Small Group…Wednesday Nights at 6pm. Six week group filled with thought provoking questions and activities to become the parent you want to be! Childcare and dinner for the kiddos provided.

Ecuador Earthquake Relief…You can help the people of Ecuador!  We just found out that we have two sister churches that lost their buildings and the pastors lost their homes. There is far more damage than the media is portraying and thousands are without food and water.
We have one of our members delivering personal water filters next week to Ecuador through these local churches there! Each filter cleans 264 gallons of water!
That means we are providing 264 gallons of clean water to the earthquake victims per filter!
Our goal is to personally deliver 100 filters providing 26,400 gallons of clean water next week! So far we have 27!
Please help…the more we can afford the more lives we save and show God’s love to…please click on our Online Giving tab at the top of this page and give online. The filters are $20 each and will save many lives.

Operation School Supply…We are excited to team with Project James to provide the children of Calle Domingo Savio Orphanage, Ecuador school supplies. These are children who are victims of severe neglect and abuse. Viewing of The Drop Box-Sunday, Nov. 15  4-6pm…Bring a friend and a snack and get ready for a life-changing ride as we will watch The Drop Box together! There will be something for the kiddos as well!

Christmas for Orphans
Project James’ Christmas for Orphans is officially launching this week!
We will be collecting money to provide Christmas presents for orphaned children both locally and in Ecuador. Just click on Online Giving and Give Now to make your secure donation and help make Christmas special for an orphaned child this year.

Thanksgiving Celebration
Join us Sunday, Nov. 23 for a Thanksgiving Celebration and a piece of pie!
Bring your favorite Thanksgiving desert to share and we’ll eat our desert first!

Thanksgiving Break
Also, there will be no Sunday Morning Celebration, Thursday, Nov. 30. That is the Thursday after Thanksgiving.
This will provide a nice break for everyone who serves on Sunday morning. We will resume our Sunday Celebrations the following Sunday, Dec. 7.

Family Meeting
We will have a Family Meeting Sunday, Nov. 16 immediately following Sunday Celebration. If Carolina Bays is your church family, please plan on attending.

Christmas Celebration
This years Christmas Celebration will be Sunday, Dec. 21! Can you believe it’s already here?

 

National Orphan Sunday Nov. 2

There are at least 163 million orphans today and; although they may not know it, they have hope in God and his people as we answer the call to care for them through adoption, sponsoring, or supporting them and missionaries.
Join us and hear the stories of rescued orphans in our own church and church families and find out what you can do now to give hope to the orphaned child!

Upcoming Mission Trips

There are two upcoming mission trip with our partner Project James!
The first trip will be Nov. 2-9th, 2014 to Haiti working with the kids we so dearly love.
The second trip will be in early 2015 to Ecuador with Tony Geouge. This will be a 10 day trip with 2-3 days of side excursions to visit different parts of Ecuador.

Boys and Girls Home of Lake Waccamaw BBQ- We’re going to the Boys and Girls Home of Lake Waccamaw to hang out with the kids!
Mr. BBQ Eddie Medlin will be cooking up some BBQ and everyone will need to bring food to go with it.
It’s going to be a great time with the kids and each other!

Graduation Pot Luck- It’s hard to believe it, but our beloved Donte will be graduating High School this year!
If you don’t know Donte, Donte is a wonderful young man with special needs. He and his family have been a part of the church since day 1. We will hold a Graduation Reception Sunday, June 1st at noon for our next Get Connected Pot Luck!

Cake will be provided, just bring something to share, and a friend!

Chili Cook Off- Bring a pot of your favorite chili to share this Sunday, Jan. 26 at noon! (Immediately following our 11am Sunday Celebration. Drinks are provided!

40 Days of Prayer- Seek God for the City. Get your Seek God for the City app today!  It will begin on March 5, 2014 and end on April 13, 2014

Church on the Go- The church is who we are, not where we go!  We are helping our friends of Summit Place Assisted Living celebrate Christmas on Dec. 1.  They are located at 491 Hwy 17, Little River.  We will meet at 2:30 PM in their parking lot for prayer and a time of giving.  This will be our Sunday Celebration so we will not meet at 11 AM. The theme is a Hawaiin Christmas. We are taking church to them!  Please bring Christmas cards for the residents and wear your favorite Hawain shirt or lays if you have them.

Christmas Ties Christmas Celebration- We’ll have our Christmas Service on Sunday, Dec. 15! Guys, wear your favorite Christmas Ties and families bring Christmas cookies to share. The children will sing, the worship team will lead us in some great worship as always as well as some of your old favorite Christmas songs. And of course bring your friends and family! It’s going to be a great celebration!!!

Annual Christmas Offering-  We want to be more of who God has called us to be as a church. We are constantly caring for the orphan, the widow, the hungry and the poor, and it is time for us to go further in our mission.  Our goal is to raise $5000 to serve children & orphans, update equipment, and to reach out to your friends and family in the community.  Please begin praying now on how much God wants you to give to further the vision God has given us.

Jersey Day- Wear your favorite NFL or College Football Team apparel to celebrate the kickoff of our Fall Series, ‘GAMECHANGER’! What team will be the most represented?

Birthday Celebration- Stick around this Sunday and make a new friend over a piece of cake! We will also go a little a little more in depth of who Carolina Bays is. You could call it the Inaugural Address for Carolina Bays! See you there!

Special Guest Dan Grider Sunday, June 16- Author and Founder of the Ignite Church Network will be with us for what will be another great message!

Diaper Drive- This Summer we are collecting diapers for teen moms. Most people assume that diapers are given through programs such as WIC, but they are not. So we want to show teen moms God’s love by providing diapers for their little ones and that God has a plan for them and their children.

Bring in diapers throughout summer and Maddi Moo’s Closet will distribute them.

Baby Dedication June 23- Baby dedication is a time for families to commit to raising their children according to God’s Will and where the church commits to coming alongside families in support on their journey through parenthood. Mission Haiti!  Our next scheduled trip is November 7 – 14, 2013. The cost for this trip will be $1275.00 with a deposit of $500.00 nonrefundable for the best price of this trip due by May 31, 2013. You may add on to this trip at any point providing space is available but after May 31 price will depend on airline ticket prices and other cost variables. If you would like to take a week of your time and make a difference in peoples lives now is the time to get your deposit in to Project James. Easter Dinner with the kids of Lake Waccamaw Girls and Boys Home- Wednesday, April 3…noon at Golden Corral in Shallotte! We are teaming up with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (NMB Christian School Chapter) to spend time with the kids over a great meal! Always a fantastic time! Please be prepared to pay for your meal. We are raising the money for their meals through our Easter Offering and FCA is collecting for sponsors. If you would like to sponsor one of the 35 kid’s meals, you can do so on our Give Now page at $12 per meal.

Candlelight Service at McLean Park- Join us Sunday, Dec. 23 at 6pm for an evening of worship and Christmas Carols at McLean Park!

Operation Orphan Supply – We are collecting winter hats, gloves, and scarves for poverty stricken orphans in Eastern Europe throughout November for National Orphan Month. The supplies will be personally delivered by adoptive families traveling to the countries, so you know they will get there.

Christmas Comes Early– Join us for our Christmas service, Sunday November 23 at 11am.

If You Were Mine Adoption Workshop-Next one coming this Winter. – Have you ever thought about adopting but didn’t know where to start? We want to help by inviting you to “If You Were Mine.” A workshop for those exploring adoption. This is a dvd driven workshop that is hosted by local residents experienced in both Domestic and International adoption.  Attending this workshop does not commit you to adoption but will answer questions that you may have like “What is the adoption process?” and “How can I afford to adopt?” Next seminar coming November 2012
